Sewing Class w Kima, edited

Myanmar Prayer Letter, October 2019

Dear Honored Prayer Partners,

One of the most encouraging things for me to know is that I am not alone in the ministry—God is with us in a very special way, and there are men and women of God always praying for me. This is truly so encouraging. As you pray for us, please remember these:

Pray for the new church planting works. We have two new church planting works this year: one in Shan State and the other in Yangon. We thank God that these church plants are going well. Please continue praying for them. Pray especially for the church planters that the Lord will provide for both their physical and spiritual needs.

Please pray for our vocational training.
We provide a free sewing training class for the women in the church and others from our neighborhood. We bought a few sewing machines and my wife, Mawite, is teaching basic sewing skills. We do this in order to develop the local community and it is also a means to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Please continue to pray for the Thinglei BP church in Chin State. The session has been unable to find a suitable preacher who will take over the place of Mr. Biak Kima, the preacher who left the church last year. The Thinglei church really needs a good preacher and capable leader.

Let us praise the Lord for His hand of protection upon the orphanage children, especially protecting them from H1N1 flu. Even though many people in Myanmar suffered and died because of this flu, none of the orphanage children suffered. They all are safe and healthy this year.

Finally, please continue praying for Myanmar as the country is struggling to rebuild. The religious and the political tensions are high; the refugee crisis is still unsolved; civil wars are unending and getting worse and worse. Please pray for the safety of the refugees, that the peace talks may go well, and for the leaders that they will be able to make helpful changes for the country.

Thank you so much for your unceasing prayer for me and for the mission works in Myanmar. We can see the fruit of your earnest prayers!

Rev. Khawl Ro Kim
