Dear Friends,
Thank you for your prayers for our brothers and sisters and the church plants in Myanmar. They continue to express their deep gratitude for your prayers as they endure many hardships in their war-torn country.
We ask that you continue to pray for peace in the country and the ability for the churches to meet on the Lord’s Day. Amidst a program of mandatory conscription to military service by the Junta, there are media reports that many youth in the country have joined the People’s Defense Force to fight against Junta. Please pray this conflict will come to an end soon. The conflict has been going on for more than 3 years and many children have been greatly impacted by the trauma. There is also concern for the government that will emerge after this conflict ends. Pray that it will produce lasting peace.
Even while the country is in a tumultuous time, gospel outreach and ministries of mercy continue. We praise the Lord for the faithful witness of Christians. Please pray for their well-being and for the fruit of salvation for many in their country as a result of their witness. Certainly their labors are not in vain in the Lord.
