August 2021

Thanking God for:
  • The continued support and guidance from the session of Grace BPC in Cincinnati, Ohio.
  • A blessed time of learning and fellowship at the youth Bible camp of the Great Lakes Presbytery in July.
  • The initial provision of a regular visitor who plays the piano.
  • Several recent church visitors who have joined us for worship.
  Please Pray for:
  • The continued opening of the door for ministry to seniors and a possible location for evening service at a senior living center.
  • A renewed heart for the lost, that we would bear witness of the refreshing good news of Jesus Christ.
  • Spiritual growth during a time of testing in the lives of church families.
  • Some recent visitors to return to Cornerstone, or at least to find the right church home.
  • Safety and guidance in travel and meeting for the annual synod in Florida.

PMU Field Director (Southerland)

Thanking God for:

  • Our son Lucas’ engagement to Hannah Torrans of Grace BPC in Cincinnati, OH, and their preparation for marriage.
  • The graduations in our family this year—Cody from college, Lucas from his welding program, and Madison from high school.
  • The Lord’s blessing on our Great Lakes Presbytery Camp.
  • The loving support of the saints of Grace BPC (Cincinnati, OH) which enables me to serve so freely with PMU while also ministering within the congregation.

 

Please Pray for:

  • Kelly’s health as the markers in her bloodwork did not continue the downward trend we had hoped for in July.
  • The Annual PMU Council Meeting, that our Lord would grant wisdom and discernment so that PMU can continue to serve with faithfulness, fervency and joy.
  • Strength, energy, and grace to serve well as a husband, father, pastor, and field director.

Foundation BP Mission, OH (Waeber)

Thanking God for:

  • Several expression of interest in church membership from long-time attenders.
  • Solid attendance for Sunday worship.

 

Please Pray for:

  • Clarity on what the best outreach options are to pursue.
  • Increasing community engagement through several opportunities in the next few months.
  • Lasting fruit in the lives of several folks who have made serious new commitments to Christ.

Myanmar Mission

July 2021

Thanking God for:

  • Opportunities to share the gospel.
  • A safe visit across the country, and the ability to minister there.
  • The support of our praying brothers and sisters in Christ around the world!

 

Please Pray for:

  • The return of internet access.
  • Myanmar, that the conflict will be resolved peacefully and quickly.
  • God’s protection on His laborers and that they may share the gospel to the people around them in this difficult time.
  • The people of Myanmar, as they are living under poverty and many of them are struggling to receive daily food.
  • The orphanage children, that God will protect them and provide their basic needs.

Project Soli Deo Gloria, Brazil (Leaman)

July 2021

Thanking God for:

  • The health and safety we have enjoyed.
  • The return to normalcy for worship.
  • The privilege to begin another semester at FITref (IRTC—the International Reformed Theological College), teaching on “Sanctification.”

 

Please Pray for:

  • A new semester teaching Biblical Spiritual Development.
  • God to provide the right man to lead the discipleship and care of the students at the Soli Deo Gloria Institute of Technology and Theology.
  • The Christian Educators and Future Men events in July on the Soli Deo Gloria Campus.

Covenant BP Mission, WA (Yong)

June 2021

Thanking God for:

  • The membership class and that the interviews with Tacoma BPC session finished well.
  • Baptisms and new members.
  • A blessed joint service with Tacoma BPC.

 

Please Pray for:

  • God to raise up men for leadership at Covenant.
  • The Lord to equip the new members.
  • My (Pastor Andy) immigration petition to be approved soon.

Reformed BPC, CA (Baldwin)

June 2021

Thanking God for:

  • Our series in Jude that is going well, and for the good reception to our midweek study through “The Fear Factor.”
  • A new Sunday school class that we just started on personal apologetics.
  • The newer rental property we will be moving into this week.
  • Our church sign, which should be installed this week.

 

Please Pray for:

  • Wiwin’s Green Card renewal which had an issue last year (missing a form) and we are waiting for them to conclude the matter.  Many things are on hold until this is finished.
  • My allergies and energy level, that they would improve once we’re out of our very moldy rental property.
  • God to send visitors and attract new families to the church once people start feeling comfortable with visiting churches again.

Sola — Appalachian Christian Retreat, NY (Douma)

Thanking God for:

  • Hikers back on trail this year in big numbers.
  • Eric and Nattie Lasch, who volunteered here for a week in May.
  • The regular supporters of our ministry.

 

Please Pray for:

  • Priscilla and baby due in July.
  • Our communities of Unionville and Westtown, where Doug gave public prayers on Memorial Day.
  • Us to have energy so that we can manage our work well.
  • Patience as we interact with a variety of hikers.

Thanking God for:

  • New contacts reaching out to us with interest in the Bible Presbyterian Church.  –Pastor Casey
  • New life—a granddaughter.  –Tom
  • Our faith family here at Grace BPC in Cincinnati and for all of the BP churches that hold a strong commitment to Scriptural purity. –Jennifer
  • Our new Mission’s Minute curriculum, that we were able to finish it and that churches are starting to order it.  –Lydia

 

Please Pray for:

  • Increased support for the Church Planting Fund so that funds received will keep pace with the planting efforts that are underway and even forthcoming.  Pastor Casey
  • The salvation of those who do not know the one true, living God, the Creator. –Tom
  • Our church leaders throughout the BPC, and that the Lord will continue to bring up faithful men that desire to plant churches, serve on the mission field, or begin a ministry that will spread the truth of God’s Word both in domestic and foreign nations.–Jennifer
