Thanking God for:

• The team of individuals who are willing to serve and support the Leamans in Aldeia, Brazil, and take the gospel to the uttermost parts of the earth.
• The common commitment of our BP churches to faithfully preach the gospel and the desire that exists in assisting one another in gospel ministry, as we do through Team Timothy.

Please Pray for:

• Pastors Doug Leaman and Casey Southerland as they finalize plans for Team Timothy’s work in July.
• Team members as they make preparations for their work in Brazil.
• The children who will attend the English camp.  Pray that many will respond to the gospel with faith in Jesus Christ.

May 2023

Thanking God for:

• Doug’s participation on the Unionville committee applying for our village to be recognized as an official Appalachian trail community.
• Recent visits from family.
• The good news that we are expecting a covenant child.

Please Pray for:

• Malia, who is coming to work with us at Sola this spring/summer.
• Families to join our small country church.
• Good health and stamina as we enter into our busiest season of ministry.

May 2023

Thanking God for:

• Members who have been faithful and diligent in serving, sharing, and praying for the work of Christ’s church.
• Answered prayers in the recent visitors (family and friends of regular attenders) to Sunday worship who have been blessed by their time with us.
• Growing relationships from the recent contacts made through the senior living home, chaplain ministry, and community involvement.

Please Pray for:

• Upcoming outreach opportunities, such as the Memorial Day picnic in the park not far from the church.
• Recent visitors to seek greater involvement with the church and regular attenders to desire membership.
• Healed/restored marriages among recent contacts who have asked for intercessory prayers.
• Safe pregnancies and deliveries for the expectant mothers in and associated with the families of the church.

April 2023

Thanking God for:

• The opportunity to promote our missionaries at the Great Western Presbytery meeting and Western Reformed Seminary’s Tabor Lecture Series.
• Promotional visits to several churches during the Spring.
• Rev. Andy Yong’s recent I-360 approval.  This was an important step in his ongoing immigration process.
• The support of many churches and individuals who have inquired about and are praying for our missionary families.

Please Pray for:

• Preparations being made for Team Timothy to serve in Brazil in July 2023.
• The Lord’s provision of new missionaries and new domestic and foreign mission fields.

April 2023

Thanking God for:

• Completion of school examinations for the orphanage children who are awaiting final results in mid-April.
• The newly appointed preacher and his family who are doing great and caring for the flock.
• The continued improvement in the health of a pastor’s wife.

Please Pray for:

• The ongoing fighting that can be heard every day, especially in dangerous areas where martial law has been declared.
• Brothers and sisters who have moved away to seek safety as refugees.
• A young lady at the orphanage center who received biopsy results indicating she has anemia.

March 2023

Thanking God for:

• The continuous prayer and financial support that allows our office and missionaries to continue serving our Lord in various capacities.
• His mercies and grace as the PMU Office has gone through some internal and external transitions.
• The founders of PMU, for having the vision and the wisdom to begin our agency and for many of them still serving on the PMU Council.

Please Pray for:

• New laborers to minister in our BP churches and serve with PMU to declare Christ’s glory around the world.
• Final reinstatement of PMU’s tax-exempt status.
• Dr. James L. Blizzard’s family, as he has gone on to be with the Lord.  Dr. Blizzard was one of the founding members of PMU in 1985 and has served on the council until his passing.  We are blessed by the faithfulness and devotion of such a loving man of God.
