PMU Field Director in Cincinnati, OH
the Missions Banner, Aug/Sept 2024
In addition to the service of the council members already mentioned, we also have three five-year anniversaries to celebrate.
Rev. Doug Douma began his service as a PMU missionary to Appalachian Trail Hikers in 2019. He, his wife, Priscilla, and their three joyful and energetic children have been offering a warm welcome, Christian hospitality, Bibles, prayer and conversations about the Savior for 5 years. Word about the ministry has grown among hikers and they have now served their 1,000th hiker guest. We praise the lord for this ministry that reaches men, women and children from many countries around the world who come to hike the AT.
Mr. Tom Wright has been serving as PMU’s Bookkeeper since the office moved to Cincinnati, OH in 2019. He is a member of Grace BPC (OH) and is the epitome of a quiet and faithful servant as nearly all of his work is done behind-the-scenes. After Tom retired from a career in finance, he joined PMU and has been applying his experience in the service of the Lord with our agency. His proficiency and commitment to honoring the Lord in this work have been a great blessing.
This also marks 5 years of service for me, Rev. Casey Southerland, as the PMU Field Director. It has been my joy and privilege to serve in this capacity and I look forward to continuing in this work for the gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. May His name be glorified in all the earth.
