In the autumn of this year, I started a sermon series on Paul’s letter to the Galatians, which is always an opportune reminder of our own need for the gospel of Jesus Christ, “who gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age.”—Galatians 1:4. Even as this upcoming holiday season approaches, may you rejoice and give thanks in God’s greatest gift to you and your resulting privilege of sonship: “But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.”—Galatians 4:4.
