Please see the letter below that was sent to our donors in April, detailing the restoration of our tax-exempt status.

Dear PMU Supporters,

Greetings in the wonderful name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

It is with great joy that I write to inform you that our tax-exemption has been approved by the IRS.

We have shared previously that PMU’s tax-exempt status had been revoked and that we had reapplied for exemption.  Now we get to report that our application has received final approval, and related issues have been settled favorably as well.  Here are four important points from the new Determination Letter issued by the IRS:

1– PMU is “exempt from federal income tax under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 501(c)(3)”.

2– Donors can deduct contributions made to PMU.

3– The IRS now agrees that PMU is not required to file the form which was the cause of our revocation in the first place.

4– PMU’s exemption is retroactive to the date of revocation.  So, even donations that have been given in the time between the loss of our exemption and its restoration are deductible.

Please note that, while PMU is currently a tax-exempt organization, the IRS online database of exempt organizations may take several weeks to be updated.

Please rejoice with us and thank the Lord for answering our prayers in such a generous way.  His kindness and faithful provision have been evident throughout this ordeal.  And the faithful prayers of our supporters have been evident as well.  We are grateful for you.

Now, rejoicing, we press forward that the glorious gospel of Christ may be known and embraced around the world.
