Retired Missionaries

The Paauwes
Dr. Edward and Lehia Paauwe retired in 2013 after faithful service for 42 years in various countries and positions. Between 1970 and 2013, the Paauwes served at five churches, five seminaries or colleges, two mission boards, and in four countries. Their unwavering service has undoubtedly spread the gospel truly around the world. Their home is now in South Australia, as they settled near one of their children. They continue to serve as opportunities and ability allows, speaking at conferences and churches, as well as teaching at seminaries. Please remember the Paauwes in prayer as faithful saints of God.

The Pines
Dr. Len Pine retired from PMU's service in 2019 after working in various capacities since 1994. During those 24 years, Rev. Pine planted two churches in the USA, one in Oregon and another in Idaho. He also served as PMU's Field Director from 1995-2019 overseeing works in five countries, as well as church plants in the USA. His wife, Karen, served PMU from 2006 until 2019 first as the secretary and then Office Manager. The Pines continue to serve the Lord in Idaho, where Dr. Pine pastors Providence BPC in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Dr. Pine began serving PMU in a new capacity upon retirement-as a member of the PMU Council. He works with the Boundary County Chaplain Corps, which he founded in 2013, to minister to first responders in North Idaho. He also serves as a volunteer firefighter and reserve deputy, as well as teaching and serving on the Board of Western Reformed Seminary in Tacoma, WA. The Pines are blessed with two children and three grandchildren.
