Covenant BP Mission, WA (Yong)
October 2025
Thanking God for:- Steady attendance of around 20-25 people with the addition of a new piano player.
- A successful membership class with two families preparing to join the church.
- A joyful hiking trip to Mt. Rainier, attended by 18 participants, including two new contacts.
- God’s saving grace for unbelieving spouses who regularly attend church with their families.
- God’s help to encourage regular visitors to commit to serving and building up His church.
- God’s power for a smooth and timely approval of the Permanent Resident Card. The result is expected soon.

Thanking God for:
- You and others like you who encourage us, bring our work before the Lord in prayer, and help us promote and support PMU’s missionaries.
- The mission spirit of BP churches and others who partner with and support our missionaries.
- The ministers and elders who serve as PMU’s council.
Please Pray for:
- The formation of two effective short-term mission teams next summer—English Camp in Brazil and Team Timothy in New York. Now is the time many are considering their ministry plans for next summer. Applications are available now on our website.
- The Lord to continue to raise up new laborers into His harvest in the US and throughout the world.
- The next generation of Christians to be strong and courageous in proclaiming the praises of the One who called them out of darkness into the light of Christ. (1 Peter 2:9)
Myanmar Mission
September 2025
Thanking God for:
- Adding new members to the Church. He continues to bring new visitors almost every Sunday.
- Allowing the Pastor to hold a training class for the women in the church on the topic of Christian Stewardship.
- The used clothing that was sent to the orphanage children by a Korean church in response to the recent earthquake. They were overjoyed with this provision.
Please Pray for:
- Final exam week in public schools during the last week of September. Pray that the orphanage children will be well prepared and able to do their best.
- Myanmar earnestly, that the long standing civil war and ongoing violence, including military actions and bombings, may come to an end.
Sola — Appalachian Christian Retreat, NY (Douma)
September 2025
Thanking God for:
- A good season of hiker guests staying at Sola.
- Our upcoming family vacation.
- A local school teacher and her class looking to visit Sola again this year and go on a hike with us.
- Some new visitors to our church.
Please Pray for:
- The hikers who have stayed with us this year, now finishing their hikes and heading back into the world.
- Upcoming opportunities to speak about Sola at a number of churches.
- Our internship search process for 2026.
- Church outreach events this fall.
- A few friends of ours who are looking at options to study at Seminary.
Foothills Reformed BP Mission, OH (Waeber)
September 2025
Thanking God for:
- An encouraging summer with steady attendance, despite a lot of travel in the congregation.
- Harmony among the body, in terms of few personal issues and increasing familiarity.
- A successful heart surgery and recovery for one of the children in the congregation.
Please Pray for:
- Wisdom as we consider the path forward regarding elders, organization, particularization, and the like.
- Several health problems among the congregation which have made it difficult for folks to attend service.
- A successful launch for home groups in September.
PMU Field Director (Southerland)
August 2025
Thanking God for:
- An encouraging time of kingdom work and fellowship at the PMU Council Meeting and BP Synod earlier in August.
- An informative visit with missionaries who served in Peru for 31 years and have been helpful in learning about Unreached People Groups in the Peruvian Amazon.
- Improvement in Kelly’s jaw. Her drain fell out and did not need to be replaced because it has done its job. A future surgery will still be necessary, but has been put off for now.
- Tolerable side effects for Kelly’s new medications.
Please pray for:
- Wisdom and discernment as we investigate opportunities among those unreached by the gospel.
- Our new granddaughters, Lilliana, born July 14, and another due September 18.
- Kelly’s new medications to be effective. The first check of tumor markers has given mixed results.
- A full recovery for Casey from shoulder surgery.
Short-Term Missions
June 2025
Thanking God for:
- The safe arrival of William Przybyl, SOLA intern, and the good start to the internship already. William will be working alongside the Doumas through July 18th.
- Providing all the funds needed for the entire Soli Deo Gloria English Camp Team.
- The collaboration with BP churches and individuals to support PMU’s short-term endeavors through financial giving and prayer.
Please Pray for:
- The SOLA Internship to be a positive experience that is beneficial for William, and an encouragement to the Douma family as well as they work together to minister to hikers this summer.
- The pastors, team leaders, and English Camp team members as they each prepare for upcoming teaching opportunities, workshops, and every-day interactions with Brazilian students. That the gospel would go forth clearly and make an impact.
- The Holy Spirit’s work in the hearts of both hikers in America and campers in Brazil to be open to the gospel message that is shared with them.
