Prayer Requests

Myanmar Mission

April 2025

Thanking God for:

  • Our safety from the earthquake damage. Thank God, and thank you so much for your deep concern and prayer.  As you know, a powerful 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck central Myanmar on March 28, 2025, causing widespread and devastating damage and killing many people.  It is the strongest in the past 100 years of Myanmar history.
  • The completion of the final exams for the children at the orphanage home. They all did well and are now in their summer holiday. Thank you for your prayers and financial support.

Please Pray for:

  • The people affected by the earthquake. According to the report, more than 3,500 people lost their lives, 5,223 buildings were destroyed, 4,840 people were injured, 1,824 pagodas, churches, temples, and mosques were destroyed, and 214 people were missing.  The death toll will be surging.  Pray also for us as we are planning to send aid to the affected areas.
  • The continued safety of the young people, including the Pastor’s son, who are now in danger of being arrested and forced to join the military.
  • Pray for the Pastor’s son, who is now grade 12, the most important and most difficult class before university. Generally, 30% of grade 12 students pass the final exam. Pray that he may study well and pass.
